Stories Matter

I love sitting around the campfire and swapping stories with friends. There’s something in a well-told tale that allows us to relate experience in a way that nothing else can.

With their Boldly Went project, Angel and Tim Mathis have created a space for people to share their experiences at local storytelling events and reach a broad audience through their podcast. Since discovering Boldly Went I’ve been to four of their events. Before the show, anyone who wants to share their story writes their name on a slip of paper and drops it in a hat. It’s scary as hell, but I always throw my name in the hat.

I was honored when Angel asked me to co-host episode 123. Join us as we chat about creativity, alpenflo, putting your phone down, and listen to two fun stories of wilderness foraging.
